After two weeks of packing, unpacking my cases going in and cut of hotels, I was super-efficient and my cases were packed and in the car by 10 am. I had breakfast and checked out before heading to the Gettysburg museum to complete my exploration of the American civil war. The museum was very well presented with many original artefacts of guns, tools and uniforms used during the three day battle at Gettysburg in the 1863. There were also many videos presented explaining everything from the causes of the civil war, how it progressed, strategy and the people involved. After my near 2 days at Gettysburg I had a really could understanding about the American civil war.
On my way back to DC, I decided to make an interim stop at the shopping outlet in Leesburg to buy some heavily discounted designer cloths. I finally arrived in DC around 7 pm. I checked into the Washington Court hotel again and then returned the hire car to Union station. It felt sad handing back the car that had carried me over 1000 miles across Virginia, Maryland, DC and even Pennsylvania. I had grown attached to the car that carried me through so many adventures and discoveries. I had travelled nearly 1000 miles, so it was also a good feeling to hand the car back without any accidents.
After so many big dinners I decided to buy a salad and take it back to my room to eat before going to bed.
