Stormy night last night with howling winds knocked out the power to the area. Was also very cold this morning 3C felt like 0C according to the weather site. Forecast a dry day with a max of 13C. So it was definitely time to use the cold weather gear we had brought with us and carried for the past 4 weeks. I walked with my long sleeve thermal top all day today and did not get hot, that is normally unheard of.
Once again these guys have delivered just a superb walk trail through amazing countryside. Nothing too challenging in terms of rocks, roots or mud but plenty in terms of up hill and down dale as we weaved our way along the scarp. We chose to walk today's section in reverse so that we walked back to our B&B. Probably the toughest part of the whole day was the 1km uphill walk from the trailhead to the B&B.
Get back just after 1.30pm so it was time to get a major laundry done and give our gear a proper wash instead of the usual daily hand wash in the shower. Damn it is good to have clean clothes to wear.
Dinner was at an Indian establishment where the food was delicious but way too big a serving.
Back to the B&B to sort out our gear and pack up as we move on again tomorrow.
