Bar and restaurant
There are two bars one in the lobby and one on the roof with amazing views over Hue and the Perfume River. However, the prices in the roof bar were extortionate, however the lobby bar prices were much more reasonable.
Has a relatively large restaurant with white linen covered tables. The décor was smart and clean with Colonial decoration using cream and white colours to give a light and fresh appearance. There is a dinner buffet every other day and a buffet breakfast serving western and Vietnamese breakfast items.
There is an emphasis on customer service here, everybody smiles and is pleased to help.
Building and facilites
The building is over three floors high spanning a whole block on the corner of two main roads with its corner pointing to the Truong Tien Bridge which stretches over the Perfume River.
The style is distinctly French colonial, most windows have a small crescent balcony and half colonnades decorate the façade, which is painted pale pink with white borders. The building surrounds a courtyard containing the breakfast and dining area and pool.
The facilities include an outdoor pool, internet access, a gift shop, massage treatment rooms, health centre. All rooms have a Safe. The hotel also has a well informed travel office.
The bedrooms are extremely spacious with clean cream coloured walls raising the brightness of the rooms. Colonial French style dark wooden furniture. The bathroom is fitted using modern fixtures and fittings and modern style bath and shower.
