I had a great time on holiday
Great pub
A famous fountain in Rome, a must see for all tourists.
Most places were closed at this time on a Sunday but I managed to find this restaurant around the corner from my B&B. I was feeling quite homesick so I decided to get out and have a small drink to calm my nerves.
This was the main restaurant at Piazza del Popolo. I had walked there to see the famous fountains and was ready for some lunch, this place looked quite busy (more so than the others) so I took it as a good sign and wasn't disappointed.
I returned here to have my evening meal after having a wonderful time the night before.
This restaurant is a must!!
So many restaurants to choose from on Piazza Navona, I just took a shot at this one because it was the closest and looked pretty decent.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Staff were quite rude and snobbish once they found out I was English.
Most restaurants were closed after 4pm on a Sunday. I only ate at this place because I'd been walking for a long time looking for somewhere to eat and the waitress was nice. I passed this place twice before eating here.
This restaurant was a bit out of the way for me, however it's located near Termini Station. It's absolutely breathtaking to behold when you first see it due to the floral decor outside.
I went to dinner with my two new New York friends, Christine and Jim, to celebrate my 24th birthday....
A nice restaurant outside the front of the Vatican. It specialises in gluten-free pasta (which is what attracted me to it).
I woke at 7:30 am to have breakfast at BB Pablo, I had an apple and coffee just to be safe. The apple was perfect, not too juicy or crunchy, shiny red and also quite large. The best I've ever had...
It's my birthday. I'm not having a very good day but it isn't the worst. The tour of the Colosseum was boring. The tour guide kept stopping so we could take lots of photos, but also kept switching...
I'm currently waiting for my first flight, from Manchester International to Schiphol, Amsterdam. The check-in process was surprisingly quick. I actually thought I'd missed a step. The check-in...
I had a lovely dinner on my birthday with Christine and her father Jim. He was kind enough to pay and wouldn't hear of me sharing the bill! So I decided to tip the staff an extra 5 Euros instead,...
I stayed in a simple B&B in Rome town center. The B&B was basic but ideal for my purpose. You have to sign in at the Hotel Caravaggio, however it's easyto find, right around the corner. In case you don't see it there's even a map at the front door of the B&B.
Urban winery based in West London hosted in an old Gin Factory near West Brompton. It is run by a team of experts that include international winemaker Gavin Monery and Master of Wine student Mark Andrew. The winery offers public tours, wine tastings, courses, custom winemaking and private and...

The Verdon Gorge (Gorges du Verdon or Grand canyon du Verdon), in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in France, is a river canyon reputed to be one of Europe's most beautiful and biggest. It is about 25 kilometres long and up to 700 metres deep, formed by the Verdon River. The most impressive views are...
This place carries out wine tasting courses, predominately for Burgundy wines. Courses are held in a 13th century vaulted wine cellar in front of a plasma screen to present some of the theory of wine tasting and around an illuminated table for observing the colour of the wines whilst being...
If the length of the queue to get a seat in this pizza restaurant is anything to go by then by popular vote this must be the best pizza joint in Cannes if not the best restaurant. It is located right next to the old harbour on Quai Saint-Pierre near the old town and also offers B&B rooms...
This restaurant is situated in a small lane that winds up a moderately steep hill in the famous Le Suquet area of the old town in Cannes. The lane is pedestrian only and is cobbled with old buildings on either side that are somewhat uncared for but that just adds to the atmosphere of the old...
I was looking for a nice cosy restaurant close to my hotel, with outside seating and not too far from the centre. My main need was to eat something light as I had been eating a lot of cheese all day. It was difficult to find somewhere that fulfilled my needs but Au Vieux Strasbourg just a...

The hotel Florian is in a narrow four storey terraced building on the rue du commandant André which leads directly on to La Croisette in less than 50 metres.
The building looked very drab from the outside with its worn hotel sign and pealing rendering, the reception area also did not...
This is basically a prefabricated module with rooms that are effectively pods albeit somewhat more spacious than one might expect given its construction. The reception and breakfast areas were tiny, taking up no more than the space of two cubicles. The stairs were on the outside of the...

This is a lovely and compact Gîte complex set next to most of the burgundy vineyards and very close to the Cote d'Or region. It is surrounded by cow fields which ensure delightful country sounds of mooing cows and birds and little else. The complex has 6 Gîte that surround a small court yard...

Situated 200m form the Cathedral and 500m from Petit France with just about anything that counts in Strasbourg in between, makes this hotel the best place in my opinion. It is tucked away in a small street just off Place Gutenberg with a very modest entrance and foyer. The decor is very clean...
I was up early today and had my breakfast as usual but this time preparing some sandwiches from the buffet to take with me on my drive north. I packed my bags and checked out of the Ibis, loaded...
I woke to the sound of crying babies in the upstairs cubicles in the very early hours, a favourite time for babies it seems; followed by mothers shouting at their babies and fathers running around...
I was up again at 0800 and having the last breakfast of my road trip. I had packed my bags and checked out by 1030 and was on my way in the direction of Calais via Amiens and Boulogne. My SATNAV...
I woke up about 0800am and washed and dressed for breakfast. It was a buffet style breakfast which was strangely and inconveniently laid out in the hall leading to the reception while the seating...

I was up again at 0800 and had my usual breakfast at the hotel of baguette, jam and cafe au lait. I decided today to take a drive into the national park of Verdon and especially the famous Gorges...
Woke up super early this morning around 0700 to find the sun just peaking over the cow fields but encouragingly with a light blue sky above, having the potential to be bluer as the day went on. I...
I was up early ready for a long day; I had my essential coffee and usual pan au chocolate before gathering my stuff and loading the car. Departed the Gîte at around 1000am and left the small...

I was up and 0800 and had my breakfast in the Ibis; baguette, jam and cafe au lait like a true French person to ensure I was ready for the day. The breakfast was set out in a canteen style...
I unexpectedly woke up quite late and had a slow breakfast, nevertheless decided to leave the Gîte around 1130 and head out to Beaune for the day. It took about 40 minutes drive through some of...

Up at 0800 again but it was harder to get up this morning, yesterday was a long day and it had taken its toll on me. After my usual breakfast of pain au chocolat and coffee, I went to the...
It all started in the very early hours, 0330 to be precise; the wake up alarm went off in the darkness. I fumbled around the bed as my eyes strained to pierce the darkness and find the bathroom....
Stayed at the wiwi perkasa 2 .
I have two places I'd like to share, one is offered by my landlord, hence the 'Amanda's' in the name. I just do this for them because they don't get online much and have some limitations as to language, but two in their family speak English very well.
This is a fully furnished...
This is the best value around for a village homestay. Many of them charge more than commercial hotels and they don't even have glass in their windows! I think it's important to have good values instead of price gouging. My friend, Laxmin is very nice and even has a car if you want to do some...
Okay, I just moved to new place around Lippo Karawaci. To be honest, I used to love this place so much. This is my last year in college and I decided to move to new place around my campus.
Lippo Karawaci is homy-designed town in Tangerang, Indonesia. It's different with other place in...
